On the occasion of the 66th edition of FILO, Albini Yarns presents its Spring/Summer 2028 collection. The collection is the result of continuous research into fibres and their combinations, with the aim of developing yarns with distinctive characteristics and offering increasingly customised solutions.
A highlight of the SS 2028 collection is Regenerative Biofusion®, the first organic and regenerative extra-long staple cotton of the Supima® variety, grown in California. The project is based on the adoption of regenerative farming practices designed to preserve and improve soil fertility, reduce environmental impact and support biodiversity. Albini Yarns is also exploring the application of this approach to other cotton qualities, including medium-staple varieties.
Throughout 2026, demand for exclusive yarns developed specifically to meet individual customer requirements has continued to grow, making this one of Albini Yarns’ distinguishing strengths. Thanks to the flexibility of its spinning mill in Hungary, the company is able to complement its permanent collections with dedicated developments tailored to customers’ specific creative and quality requirements. This activity now accounts for approximately 15% of European production, confirming the growing demand for custom-made yarns.
The search for exclusive solutions is centred around the Spinning Lab, an experimental laboratory dedicated to the development of special yarns. Here, Albini Yarns explores new combinations of fibres, blends and constructions, translating customer requirements into bespoke projects. This approach allows Albini Yarns to go beyond a standard collection offering, providing its customers with research, know-how and production flexibility for the development of exclusive yarns.
