ICA Yarns has always been committed to researching and selecting <\/span>the best raw materials<\/b> and to study <\/span>how to grow them optimally<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

From this objective due to the long experience acquired in the direct cultivation of cotton in Egypt, Barbados and the United States, ICA Yarns gave life to a special project, in close collaboration with six American farmers located in Texas, New Mexico and California, cultivating <\/span>organic cotton<\/b>. In particular, there are two varieties of organic cotton grown in these fields: <\/span>Supima\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/b>\u00a0and <\/span>Upland<\/b>, an American long-staple cotton.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the exclusive cultivation of these two cottons comes BIOFUSION\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><\/b><\/span>, an organic cotton <\/span>scientifically traceable<\/b>\u00a0thanks to an innovative method based on forensic science. Traceability is not only a guarantee of the origin of the raw material, but also of its sustainable production according to high ethical and quality standards defined by American laws and Supima\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong><\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

ICA Yarns directly manages and controls these cotton farms, in collaboration with American growers, with the aim of ensuring full compliance with the law, high quality standards and the traceability of the production chain.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>organic plantations<\/b> from which BIOFUSION\u00ae<\/sup> comes meet the following requirements:<\/span><\/p>\n

– The cultivated land has produced exclusively organic products for the previous three years;
\n<\/span>– The seed is GMO-free;
\n<\/span>– Chemical fertilizers, insecticides and pesticides are not used;
\n<\/span>– The defoliation is natural.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, with one of these farmers, an innovative <\/span>drip irrigation method<\/b> was developed. It consists in slowly administering small amounts of water in the soil near the plant and directly into the root zone. Drip irrigation minimizes water consumption and avoids waste.<\/span><\/p>\n

ICA Yarns combines its know-how with the passion of cotton growers in this unique and exclusive project, which is based on quality, traceability and the guarantee of an ethical and sustainable production.<\/span><\/p>\n
